There are 22 different amino acids horses need for protein synthesis to support their protein needs for all body systems. Horses produce 12 amino acids naturally from feedstuffs. However, the other 10 must be supplied in their diet.
Of those, the three most limiting amino acids are lysine, methionine and threonine. Without these in adequate supply, horses may be unable to utilize or synthesize the other amino acids down the chain.
KAUFFMAN’S® Amino-E powder contains substantial levels of the three most limiting amino acids, along with antioxidant Vitamin E, to support muscle health, the immune system, body condition and overall protein needs in active equine athletes.
Recommended use: For supplementing young, fast growing equines, lesson, performance and working horses.
Our highly palatable formula is easy to top dress or mix with feed and contains no ingredients that are banned for events and competitions.
Each lb contains 21% crude protein, 10.6% lysine, 2.86% methionine, 6.46% threonine and 80,000 IU vitamin E. Lysine is important for bone growth. Methionine reduces the severity of building muscle, muscle breakdown and aids in muscle building. Also encourages healthy skin and connective tissue, which promotes joint and coat health, and strong hoof flexibility. Threonine is key for strength and elasticity.
Feed at the rate of 1 ounce (1 scoop) per horse per day. Enclosed scoop holds 1 ounce approximately one ounce when level full.
